Six Invitational Preview

Post 10.2.2018

The Six Invitational returns for the second time and this time it is bigger and better than ever. With the dramatic increase in popularity of the Rainbow Six Siege game the Pro League has seen a lot of new talent and teams joining the battle and the Six Invitational will be the highlight of a great year for the game. Not only that but it will be a true test of strength for current Pro League Year 2 Season Champions ENCE as they will be looking to show that it was not a one off victory at last seasons finals.

The tournament will take place in Montreal, Canada where 16 teams from around the globe will come together to battle it out for a huge prize pool of $500,000 and the title of World Champion. As a Year 2 Season Champion ENCE will have a direct invite to the tournament along with five other season champions. There will also be four invited teams and the rest of the spots will be through qualifiers and community vote.

Since our entry to Rainbow Six Siege, the game has seen exponential growth and sees it’s biggest tournament yet with this Six Invitational. Our team having gone through a player change during the offseason is eagar to show that they can still be champions. It will be very interesting to attend my first big Rainbow Six event and see what great things Ubisoft has done for the game and the community. Looking forward to seeing a ton of ENCE fans in Montreal!

The teams joining ENCE in the Six Invitational will come from NA, EU, LATAM and Asia-Pacific and most of the teams have been decided. Not only do we have the best of each region but we are also seeing a number of other large scale organisations joining the Rainbow Six eSport community with the addition of Team Liquid.

  • ENCE (EU)
  • PENTA (EU)
  • Elevate (NA)
  • eiNs (APAC)
  • Black Dragons (LATAM)
  • Evil Geniuses (NA)

  • Team Fontt (LATAM)
  • Team Liquid (LATAM)
  • Rogue (NA)
  • 1Up (EU)

  • eRa Eternity (NA)
  • Room Factory (EU)
  • Supremacy (EU)
  • Mindfreak (APAC)
  • Lanchonete (LATAM)
  • Community vote team (TBA)

The tournament will be a four group, four team format using the GSL-rules where two teams from each group will qualify through to the playoff section of the tournament. Each game in the group stage will be a Best of Three, Double Elimination and the Playoffs will be Single Elimination. The group stage will be drawn on 19th January which will give each team plenty of time to research and prepare for the opponents in their group.

This is going to be the biggest test for ENCE not only coming off Year 2 on a high with their first Season Championship but also with the changes to the team as we see the addition of UUNO joining the team and this will be his first tournament with the team. There has been plenty of time since the announcement for the team to practice together and it will be exciting to see what the new lineup can do against the rest of the best.

All action will be live right here on and we hope that you join us in cheering on the team as they look to claim the Six Invitational World Champions title to go along with Year 2 Season 3 accomplishments.
