Serral finishes Third at WESG

Another tournament another top place finish for Serral as he takes 3rd place at the World Electronic Sports Game event in Haikou, China. With the 3rd place secured he also manages to take home a $40,000 prize pool to add to his already great start to 2018.

Road to Third

Early in the day he would have to go against one of the players he did not wish to play, Neeb. However in great style Serral managed to take the series 3-0 and extend his unbeaten run to 18-0 maps throughout the tournament.

The Semi-Finals proved to be much more difficult as he came up against Korean player Maru, the best Terran in the game. Inevitably Serral would drop his first map of the tournament against the Korean which unfortunately would end up leading to a 0-3 loss in the series.

Serral vs Classic

The third place game would be a rematch of the IEM Katowice game which saw Classic defeat Serral 0-3 and the Finnish Zerg was looking to ensure it did not happen again. The first map of the series would go to the Korean player and things looked grim. However, Serral with some immaculate plays managed to pull the series not only back but would close it out 3-1 over the Protoss player to secure himself the third place finish.

Another great result for Serral to start 2018 and things are definitely getting better.
