ESL One: Road to Rio is the online tournament series leading up to the 2020 Rio Major. Due to the postponing of the Major from May to November, all previously qualified teams will have to play through two regional leagues alongside other high level contenders in order to secure a spot in the main event. The events will reward teams with Regional Major Ranking (RMR) points, which will eventually decide the qualified teams.

The Group Stage begins on the 22nd of April and runs for nearly three weeks. Consisting of two groups with eight teams in each, the Group Stage will be played in the round-robin format. This means each team within the same group will face each other once in a best of 3 series. Our group features the likes of Astralis, Fnatic, Team Vitality and Ninjas in Pyjamas.

The starting line-up for the event will be:

  • allu
  • sergej
  • xseveN
  • Aerial
  • suNny
