March 12th, 2018 – Pelicans, a hockey club playing in the Finnish hockey league Liiga, together with Finland’s biggest esports organization ENCE, have agreed to enter into a close collaboration never seen before in the Finnish sports industry.
The two organizations have agreed to a strategic partnership that combines the know-how from both fields, competitive gaming and esports along with traditional sports, creating new growth potential for both parties.

Examples from all around the world indicate that the future of esports looks very bright and many of the biggest sports teams globally have already gotten involved in the business. Esports is the fastest growing sports industry in the world right now. In Finland, it is the second most followed form of sports for males between the ages of 18 and 29, and ENCE is the best known and most successful Finnish organization. ENCE has produced multiple championship-winning players and success stories through the years.
