ENCE Take 2nd Place in GameXpo League

ENCE 1-3 Gigantti

The new Finnish Overwatch League brought to you by ASUS ROG and GameXpo will be not only an event to help pass the time until Blizzards Overwatch League is launched but also a great event for Finnish teams to establish themselves in the scene. The event will see seven teams compete in a Round Robin group stage which kicks off 19th September and will run until October 10th with the playoffs held during the GameXpo at the start of November.

The GameXpo event will be held at the Messukeskus exhibition hall in Helsinki Finland and the final four teams will compete for the title of the first Finnish League champions as well as an unannounced prize pool. However during the group stages each team will win €120 for each match they win.

ENCE will be joined by other notable teams such as REDS, NYYRIKKI and Team Gigantti which will ensure for some great matchups during the group stages. We got the thoughts of team captain Trickwide about the new league as they prepare for it to start.

Trickwide – Team Captain

We are looking forward too the ROG Tournament GameXpo 2017 League as it is a breathe of fresh air. Tier 2 scene in Overwatch has been pretty silent for the past month, so it is nice to at least have in Finland a decent tournament. I’m pretty sure the league will have even matchups. Also the presence of a top tier team such as Team Gigantti forces everyone play on their A level. Like always I hope our fans continue cheering for us and spam #EZ4ENCE in the Twitch chat.

You can catch all the action live here as the league progresses and we hope you cheer on the team as they look to claim another Finnish championship this year.
